The Project. That's business life: Conditions change frequently, and all teams in the company need to deal with new situations. The only way to master such challenges is by moving closer together. Literally. New strategies must be developed for supporting each other. Again, literally! Baboushka is a highly dynamic project for groups going through processes of adapting.
How It's Done. The goal is for the entire group to stand on a small pedestal for a predetermined amount of time – without touching the ground! Once they solve this problem, they're in for a big surprise: Like a russion doll, the pedestal contains another, smaller one inside, and another, and another... New strategies must be found, discarded, and reworked many times throughout the process!
Persons (min./opt./max.): 4/9/14.
Time (w/o debriefing): 10-15 minutes.
Space needed: 4x4 meters.
Topics & Goals. Team building: Giving support, feeling comfortable with each other, working together, trusting.
(Re-)Activating: In the morning, after lunch.
Dealing with changing conditions: Developing new strategies, making the impossible possible, building motivation.
Baboushka. In the box: 4 pedestals (massive beech), stacked inside the largest one, with carrying handle and rubber stoppers to prevent sliding, 1 detailed instruction manual.
