The project. Sharing information, dealing with shortages and interface communication are real challenges for any team. With Marble Run, your participants will experience the role of effective communication when it comes down to reaching common goals.
How It's Done. The group is divided into two separate teams. Each team's task is to construct a course for the wooden balls with the material provided. In the end, the type of construction and the balls' running times should be the same. Communication between the teams is organized via ambassadors. Information may exchanged verbally only. If possible, you can also use walkie-talkie or email communication.
Persons (min./opt./max.): 6/14/20.
Time (without debriefing): 60-90 minutes.
Space: Two separate spaces, each 10 x 10 meters.
Topics & Goals. Team Development: Interface communication, dealing with shortages, coordination, finding agreements, communicating via media.
Project Management: Information management/transfer, finding creative solutions, communication between different phases of a project.
Marble Run. In the box: 18 wooden sticks, 2 flexible tubes, 4 wooden balls, 2 pieces of adhesive tape, 1 detailed instruction sheet.
