Mission of SUCHT

SUCHT is an interdisciplinary scientific journal and the official publication of the DHS and DG-SUCHT. The journal is directed at researchers and scientifically interested practitioners. publishes contributions in German and English, which deal with substance use, substance use disorders and related areas. Manuscripts should make a significant contribution to the improvement of knowledge in the areas of aetiology, epidemiology, prevention, or treatment. The main focus lies on empirically based papers and trans-cultural research. A special objective is to derive practical conclusions with health-political implications from new scientific findings. The journal is a member of the International Society of Addiction Journal Editors (ISAJE) and conforms to its ethical principles (»Farmington Consensus« and »Ethical Practice Guidelines in Addiction Publishing«). All scientific contributions are peer-reviewed.
