Das Procreate StarterSet von Neuland & bikablo – iPad-Visualisierung mit analogem Charme

The Procreate Starter Set from Neuland & bikablo – iPad visualization with analog charm

Almost twenty years have passed: Neuland and bikablo jointly paved the way for visual thinking, learning, and collaboration. Who would have dreamed back then that visualizers worldwide would one day enjoy drawing on tablets as much as on flipcharts?

But…digital visualization sounds so easy.

Do you know that feeling? Posters you create on a screen often look flat. They feel unreal. They seem artificial. They remain lifeless pixels behind glass.

“Can’t we bring the vibrancy and uniqueness of a marker stroke to the iPad?” Guido Neuland and bikablo founder Martin Haussmann wondered. And just like that, another collaborative project was born: the “Neuland & bikablo Procreate Starter Set”.

"Procreate is to the iPad what a Neuland flipchart is to the analog world."

…Martin explains, “Quite simply, it’s the quality standard. That’s why we enjoy working with this app almost as much as with Outliner & BigOne. But in every one of our Procreate training sessions, participants ask us which digital pen tips we recommend. And which color combinations. And above all: how to achieve a vibrant marker line on a tablet.”

This very task fell to bikablo trainer Stefan Böker, who is at home in both worlds: “I programmed brushes specifically for Procreate that correspond to the analog wedge, round and brush tips of NoOne, BigOne & Co. And we were even able to digitally reproduce the semi-opaque effects that are possible with an acrylic marker on black paper.”

Martin adds: “But that wasn’t enough for us. We also translated the popular Neuland color sets into digital color palettes, designed backgrounds that simulate a wide variety of paper types, and developed tutorial videos and design templates for everything. And we borrowed a few poster templates from the visual dictionary ‘ bikablo Posters ’ that you can edit and customize yourself in Procreate.”

It's available at bikablo.com – and even more affordable in the " iPad & Procreate Bundle Plus ," an introduction to digital visualization that has quickly become a bestseller among bikablo's video training courses.
