Your New Year's plan
Teilen
This year everything will be different! Does that sound familiar? If you're looking for change and want to set new goals, that's certainly commendable. A New Year's plan is a must…
Reflect
Before you make a plan, it's important to reflect. Yes, that sounds boring and cliché, but you'll just have to do it. Maybe you can even turn it into a nice ritual. Take a page in your journal and write down everything that went really well last year. Enjoy the good memories and give yourself a pat on the back. You did well this year, and these are the moments that shaped you.
Once you've done that, you can reflect on what might not have worked so well. Do you have any suggestions for improvement? For example, if you created a monthly overview that you never really used, you might find weekly overviews, which you can adjust throughout the year, more helpful. But this isn't just about the layout. Your personal goals and wishes also have a place on this two-page spread.
Making resolutions
Which brings us to New Year's resolutions. Some are convinced they're worthwhile, while others believe that good intentions are pointless anyway. Of course, that's something you have to decide for yourself. But if you like setting yourself some personal goals at the start of the year, why not create a beautiful vision board in your bullet journal?
Make sure your goals are formulated in a way that allows you to celebrate small successes throughout the year. Feel free to write down or draw a few big dreams, but always remember that big hurdles require a lot of perseverance and are best broken down into smaller tasks.
Set priorities and organize to-dos
This point is for everyone who felt overwhelmed by their tasks last year. For everyone who got sucked into the black hole of paperwork. And for those who want to carve out more time for themselves next year. Be honest with yourself here, too! Take some time for introspection and ask yourself if you've allowed yourself enough. The answer is usually unpleasant, but the realization will take you a giant step forward.
You should definitely record this in your journal as well. What is particularly important to you in life? Which tasks have top priority for you at work? How could you prioritize your to-dos so that you can more easily keep track and say "no"? Here you can also note the duration of your daily tasks or create a rough schedule that you can then use as a guide.
Create an annual plan
Don't worry, you're not supposed to plan your entire year right now! 😉 But a yearly overview always works well in a new bullet journal . It doesn't need to be particularly detailed; a double page with 12 boxes for each month is usually sufficient. If you then receive an appointment that's a few months away, or you want to record your friends' birthdays, you can note them there. Depending on whether you're working with weekly or monthly overviews, you can transfer these appointments from here.
Now it's your turn! Take some time to calmly reflect on the past year and the year ahead, and find renewed motivation for your personal and professional goals. You're worth it! ❤
