"So, who would like to play unconscious now?"

Statistics show that the risk of accidents is significantly higher at home and during leisure time than at work – in 2015 alone, there were about four times as many injuries at home as at work. And the number of people injured at work is not insignificant either: 1.36 million people were injured in their workplaces. To prevent more serious consequences, trained workplace first aiders are responsible. They are the most important element of workplace first aid.
To ensure their knowledge and skills aren't gradually lost over the years, regular training takes place at least every two years. This training recently took place at Neuland.
Twelve employees from administration and production, including woodworking, metalworking, and shipping, participated in the training course conducted by the German Red Cross. The course was highly practical: at various stations within the company, first aid measures were discussed and practiced – from minor accidents to acute emergencies. Participants learned how to treat wounds, apply pressure bandages, rescue injured people and place them in the recovery position, and practice life-saving measures such as CPR. Finally, they also learned how to document all first aid procedures in the first aid log. This was probably the driest of the intensively covered topics, because, as the pictures show, everyone got a chance to take a break.
In short, everyone participated fully and is well prepared for potential emergencies – which hopefully won't occur. The next first aid training course is in February 2019.
