VR with Estatics: DIY Instructions

It all starts with an idea

Do you already have an idea of ​​who or what you want to bring to life? Good. Then take the red special marker for electrostatics and draw these outlines on a sheet of white electrostatic sticky notes.

Make the most of the available space. Then you'll need two art markers in your chosen colors. Ideally, one of them should be gray. Use these to add shadows and color to your image. Since the water-based paint sits on the surface of the foil and doesn't soak in, you'll need to wait a little while for it to dry before proceeding to the next step.

Now it's time to use the scissors. Cut out your design as precisely as possible, following the black outlines.

Almost finished. You can now place this freestanding figure on any smooth surface. It looks especially fun on windows.

If you now see a reference point, such as a path in the window, and give your character a few legs with a second Estatic, you can make them appear to be standing on the path. There you have it: an analog piece of virtual reality.
