Selbstgemacht ist doch am schönsten!

Homemade is always the best!

Do you remember your last stroll through town? You often see them there: postcard racks filled with colorful cards. For every occasion, every city, every landmark, there are motifs, beautifully arranged and printed on glossy postcards. Really lovely, but also just "one of many." It's so much nicer, though, to send individual postcards, unique pieces, lovingly designed messages to your loved ones. We bet we can come up with lots of great ideas!

The first thing that comes to mind, of course, is that homemade things are always the nicest. Sure, there's plenty of room on the back for a personal message. But what about the front? How wonderful would it be if we could design the front of our cards ourselves, too? Ha! We can! We have markers for lettering and drawing, and we've recently added high-quality postcard sets for writing on them. Great, let's get started!

Let's start with the obvious and build up the excitement towards the end. Here's number one: postcards . There's a set of 10 white cards and one set of 10 black cards. As marker fans, you probably already know that the black postcards are practically begging to be written on with the AcrylicOne or No.One Metallic markers . They just look too good on a black background! With the white cards, you have a few more markers to choose from; the only important thing is that they're suitable for paper. Or, you could use the BulletProof stickers – with such a wide selection of designs, there's something for (almost) every theme. It's all about what you like best.

So next time you're on vacation or in a new city and want to share the moment with someone, why not start sketching and capture the things you see or find particularly fascinating on a postcard? Perhaps there are even specific details you'd like to highlight. On the back, you can either write a short message or simply use it as an extended drawing surface. It's fun, and the recipient will surely be delighted with this postcard with its personal touch.

Of course, these cards are also suitable for other things. For example, you can use them to leave an inspiring message for someone special. Nothing against sticky notes on the fridge, but that only works in the movies. In real life, those garish notes end up on the floor after five minutes and are probably even kicked under the kitchen counter before the recipient sees them. High-quality postcards make a much better impression. Other options include personalized Christmas cards, get-well cards, or simply a little something extra to accompany a bouquet of flowers or a gift.

Psst: For really special messages, you can also scatter several cards around your apartment or a room and turn it into a kind of scavenger hunt. On the front, you either draw part of a rebus or write a single word, and on the back, you write a riddle or instructions about where the next card is.

Speaking of gifts… Back in the day, there were those boring advent calendars with tiny pieces of chocolate inside. These days, homemade advent calendars are increasingly finding their way into our living rooms. So why not create your own postcard calendar? Here are a few examples of what it could look like.

You already know the most important rule: there are no rules. Colorful and crazy, or rather simple? Just visualize, write, or draw away. As you can see, all sorts of motifs fit on these handy postcards. And in the end, the 24 doors will look great together anyway!

On the back, you can write anything you like. Poems, song lyrics, a charming short story, perhaps a love confession? You can also print or even draw a QR code on the card that leads to a video. Other ideas include Christmas recipes for sweet and savory treats or craft instructions for decorations.

If you're giving the calendar to a colleague, you could share method ideas, facilitation tips, or marker hacks on the back pages. Always remember: it's the little things that bring the greatest joy to the people around you.

Perhaps you could use the advent calendar as a preview of the actual Christmas present. Maybe you're giving your loved ones a shared experience, a trip, or something they've long desired. Then you could hide a clue to the gift behind each door. Alternatively, you could create a 24-piece puzzle. Each day, a new piece is revealed, and at the end, the gift is shown.

As you can see, there are countless possibilities just waiting to be explored!
