How to write in a way that is suitable for moderation

Legible handwriting is essential – after all, everyone needs to be able to read the information on the pinboard and flipchart. Moderation handwriting isn't rocket science – it's simply a matter of practice. This article will tell you what's important.
Readability versus individuality
Handwriting is individual, an expression of character – but unfortunately not always easily legible for everyone. Yet this is precisely what's important in dialogue-oriented seminars, workshops, and meetings. For this reason, using a tried-and-tested poster or presentation font is recommended. Below, we offer some practical tips.
Incidentally, over time an individual touch will develop in the moderation handwriting – just like in normal handwriting.
The right writing tip
For distinctive, easily legible handwriting, a chisel-tip marker is recommended. This ensures that horizontal and vertical lines are executed in varying thicknesses, giving the handwriting its character.
The correct positioning of the marker

This is actually about the correct use of the chisel tip – but since Neuland markers have two special grip grooves that automatically guide the correct positioning of the chisel tip, we opted for this heading. When holding the marker correctly, the higher end of the chisel tip points towards the thumb. Pulling the marker downwards produces broader lines than pulling it from left to right.

Now it's time to practice the moderation writing.
The moderation script
This type of poster lettering is a print typeface. The letters are written individually and not connected, as is the case with cursive writing.
The correct execution of the moderation script is best practiced using a special template. This is a sheet with corresponding guidelines.
