Sustainable Living Festival, Melbourne

Sustainable Living Festival, Melbourne

It was towards the end of 2012 when we received a request to support a sustainability campaign in Australia. Since it involved a visualization project that would utilize our markers, the decision was easy.

So our markers made their way to Melbourne, where they were to put the ideas of Melbourne's citizens on a wall at the Sustainable Living Festival from February 15th to 17th.

The project was carried out on-site by graphic facilitator Wyn Wilson (Los Angeles), graphic recorder Jessamy Gee (Melbourne), designer and owner of EcoLogical Art Kerri Ainsworth (Sydney), and videographer Dan Ryan (Melbourne). Ryan is also responsible for the video showing the "Living Knowledge Wall" and numerous Neuland Markers in use.

Participation in the drawing is encouraged.

Together with the visitors, they brainstormed ideas for a sustainable life and designed the living wall of knowledge – which was created exclusively with the help of sustainable materials and (writing) tools.

A great idea that received a lot of support and encouraged visitors of all ages to participate.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved! We'd love to participate in another event like this. Perhaps in a different part of the world? We're looking forward to it.
