Christmas checklist
Teilen
For some, it's the most wonderful time of the year, for others probably the most stressful. Our Christmas checklist makes planning easier so you can actually enjoy this otherwise cozy Christmas season.
The early bird
Every year we resolve to get all the gifts in time, and then we end up crowding the shops with other people just before Christmas Eve. And what do we get for it? A gift that often couldn't be more impersonal. How lucky that you're reading this post right on time and are bursting with energy! 😉
Gifts
It's best to start by making a list of everyone you want to give a gift to, along with some ideas and a clear budget. Remember: Homemade advent calendars and St. Nicholas' Day gifts should definitely be finished by November. For everything that ends up under the tree, you can then start looking for sales and bargains from the end of November onwards.
Oh, and if you need any materials for your preparations, or would like to treat yourself to a little something, you're of course welcome to check out our Christmas sale. 😉
By the way: You don't always need to buy special gift wrapping. Why not use the backs of old charts and paint them, or make a box from scrap paper ? That's sustainable and saves money.
The Festival of Love
Christmas is the festival of love for good reason. During this reflective time, we like to show our friends and family how important they are to us. But we also want to bring a little joy to the people we encounter again and again in our daily lives.
But how often do the postal workers, garbage collectors, or hairdressers actually receive the obligatory box of Merci chocolates with their meager "tip" for the whole year? Why not take an afternoon and design some personalized Christmas cards? People will surely appreciate that more than the tenth package of chocolates. 🙂
Time for the family
Throughout the year, we often take far too little time for each other. All the better, then, that the Christmas season offers so many wonderful opportunities for even the most seasoned family members to turn into children again: baking cookies, building snowmen, watching cheesy Christmas movies, eating gingerbread, drinking mulled wine…
It's definitely worth getting all your shopping done in good time, decorating your home, and working through your Christmas checklist. Then you can sit back, relax with your loved ones, and enjoy the time together. Merry Christmas!
