People first!
Under this motto, more than 1,600 people, over 60 speakers on 5 stages over 3 days from all over the world came together at TYPO 2018 in Berlin to inspire each other. And of course, the Neuland® team was also back in the pregnant oyster – fully packed with markers and other goodies!
Same place – even more markers: This year, visitors to the Neuland® booth were once again able to test and purchase various markers and paints. We were especially pleased that some small works of art were created on our Graphic Wall V3 ! Our Handlettering Learning Pad To go was also very popular with visitors and was filled with creative lettering.
Neuland® was pleased to once again participate as a sponsor and provided markers for several workshops. This allowed visitors to learn and practice using our Neuland BigOne® or the ArtMarker . Consequently, the demand for our ArtMarkers was high, and they sold out by the end of the event.

We are delighted to have Wiebke Koch leading the workshop "With Pen and Paper for a Better World" ! For over 20 years, she has worked with great passion at the intersection of society and business, supporting changemakers dedicated to solving societal problems. She says, "Pen and paper are anything but outdated. Ideas can be quickly visualized on the fly, user stories can be put on paper, and workshops can be enhanced with attractive flipcharts." In her workshop, she explored the ingredients for effective visual techniques with the participants and encouraged them to create their own unique sketchnotes at TYPO.
A real highlight were our sketchnoting sets , consisting of a mySketchbook (in black or natural), a gimmeFive +1 rubber band, a SketchOne, an Outliner, and four fineOne by Neuland® pens, which visitors could choose according to their taste. This mega set was available at a special price and was a real hit. Many visitors made it into a gift for colleagues, friends, and family – a really lovely idea, we think.
An important note: The conference bags we distributed contained vouchers. These can still be redeemed in our online shop even after TYPO. So, if you weren't lucky enough to find something at our booth in Berlin, you can still take advantage of this opportunity and get your hands on the popular Neuland® markers.
We, Ann-Janine, Laila, and Dominik from the Neuland® team, were also inspired by the wonderful event and are looking forward to the next TYPO, to new ideas in lettering and related fields, and of course to all of you – the visitors who make this event so great. Thank you so much!
