Sharing + Learning + Networking = Better Moderation

This simple formula could sum up the moderators' congress that took place in Beilngries in the Altmühl Valley at the end of September 2017. It was organized by the company Moderatio in conjunction with its 30th company anniversary.

And at its core, the question always revolved around: How do we communicate? And if we go a step further: how do we moderate and mediate effectively, especially in business and at work?

Many facilitation techniques were presented, most notably methods for finding creative solutions. Mediation—that is, conflict resolution—within companies was equally important, but decision-making techniques and facilitation for process and strategy optimization were also topics covered over the two days. Our products helped to make the many presented methods more visible.

With their help, speakers and attendees collaboratively created their conference minutes, and key information was vividly illustrated. For many participants, this type of presentation served as inspiration to use graphic recording techniques at their own next event.

Incidentally, Neuland and Moderatio have been cooperating successfully for many years. That's why we were especially pleased to raffle off popular Neuland products at the congress during this anniversary year.

According to the moderators, it was a successful congress – which is why it will be repeated in 2019. And it's already clear that Neuland will be there again, specifically where it matters most: on the flipcharts.
