White on Black... or when doodles become visual worlds
All workshops cancelled, no job in sight until September… Suddenly I have time to use my beautiful painting materials and my flipchart in a new and different way.
So I grabbed my BlackPad and a white acrylic marker, turned on some music and started drawing white lines, or creating a stylized plant, a fish… And gradually the page filled up with patterns, objects, figures.
The resulting images invite meditation and reflect on our peculiar times. Have we as human beings lost our intuition, become blind to the beauty of the earth?
For those who want to put their thoughts and feelings on paper, technically it's easy, but you have to take the time to start without "wanting" and let your own visual worlds emerge.
Start somewhere on paper and only consider at the end where the journey has actually led.
